An extremely hardy broad bean for sowing late autumn. Long podded and white seeded, with white eye.Very good for freezing. Less susceptible to blackfly because of earliness.

For Indoor Sowings
If soil is not suitable for autumn sowing, seedlings can be raised in an unheated glasshouse in January and planted out in March.
For Outdoor Sowings
Direct sowings in growing site, 5cm deep in double rows 20cm apart. Thin to one seedling as soon as large enough to handle. Water regularly. Protect plants from slugs during early stages of growth and when the first pods have set, pinch out the top 5cm to discourage blackfly.
