
Suffolk Herbs Chamomile Lawn
Chamomile Lawn is very similar to ordinary chamomile but its plants have a more spreading habit and are much more scented. It gives off the most beautiful aroma when crushed underfoot. Sow in seed trays and transplant the seedlings 10cm apart. Once established, cut regularly but not too short.
Sow Outside
In spring or early autumn where the plants are to grow, ideally in sun or light shade. Prepare the soil as for lawn grass. Mix the tiny seeds with sand to aid even spreading, broadcast and water well. Prefers full sun or light shade. Sow in seed trays and transplant the seedlings 10cm apart. Once established, cut regularly but not too short.
Harvest
For tea when flowers are fully open.
