
Kings Seeds Pepper Chilli Fiery Tongues
Fiery Tongues have semi erect plants which produce up to 30cm long curly fruits, ripening from green to deep red with a glossy sheen and wrinkled tops. These chilli peppers have some heat containing 28,000 Scoville heat units.
When to Sow Fiery Tongues Chilli Pepper Seeds
February to April. Plant out May to June.
Where to Sow
Sow seed on the surface of a free draining compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite and place at a temperature 18-21°C until seeds germinate.
What to do Next
Prick out chilli seedlings when large enough to handle into 7cm (3in) pots and grow on underglass. Once plants reach 10cm (4in) high transplant into 15-25cm (6-10in) pots and grow on windowsills or a sunny patio. Feed once a week with tomato fertiliser once first fruits have set.

These chillies can also be grown in containers in a greenhouse or on a sunny patio, moving plants inside in the autumn to finish ripening.
